An Island Off an Island

We are Jan and Marcus + our much loved black Labrador, Ruby.

Bruny Island stole our hearts during a brief visit in March 2020 as COVID wreaked havoc around the world. Tasmania closed its borders as we left.

Back in Orange NSW we dreamt of Christmas by the sea and began to search for holiday rentals on Bruny in Dennes Point. In the way of the world instead Google offered us real estate options and by October 2020 we owned a house in Tasmania and were fully immersed in a sea change!

This blog was created to keep family and friends in the loop about our new life but if you have happened by and have enjoyed our stories of life on an island, off an island, off an island at the bottom of the world – welcome.
